Eating in Flic en Flac

Flic en Flac has the longest stretch of public beach on the west coast and the densest run of restaurants outside Port Louis. It faces west, so it is the sunset side of the island, and most of the eating happens in the evening along the coastal road and the streets just behind it.

The range is wider than anywhere else on this coast: beachfront grills and seafood at one end, hotel dining rooms at the other, and a good deal of Chinese, Indian and Italian in between. It is also the easiest place to eat well without booking into a resort. Weekend evenings fill up, particularly the tables with a view of the water.
